This class is an entry level workshop where students will learn the brick stitch weave pattern to create a pair of earrings to take home. We will be using glass seed beads and go over all of the basic materials used to craft beaded pieces. All necessary materials will be provided so all you need to do is come with a willingness to try something new!
If you usually require magnification or readers to see something within arm’s length I suggest that you bring your glasses or other equipment you may need. We will be working with small beads, threading needles, and following a pattern.
As this course is just an introduction, I won’t dive too far into all of the various options and weave patterns.
What is provided:
-size 11 needles
-Czech seed beads
-1 pre-made pattern
-bonded nylon thread
-a felt beading mat
-silver and gold nickel-free earring hooks
(if you have a metal sensitivity please reach out prior to the class date to let me know, I have sterling silver and 18k gold plated options for a $5 charge)
-printed guide to brick stitch weaving
**This class is designed for those with fine motor skills and ages 15 and up, there will be a maximum of 6 spaces for students.
